Q: Who can apply?
A: Applications can come from anyone who has used the three step improvement for Scotland’s public services to explore and deliver better ways of working to improve services and/or outcomes for babies, children, young people and their families.
Q: Who can be nominated?
A: There is one award that is specifically for individuals: the ‘Quality Improvement Champion Award’ award. Anyone who meets the description and the eligibility criteria can be nominated for this award.
Q: Do I have to tell the person I am nominating them?
A: We would advise you to inform them in advance so they are not caught off-guard if they are shortlisted. It’s an opportunity to let them know how you rate their fantastic work!
Q: How many categories are there?
A: There are 10 categories in total.
Q: How much work is involved in applying?
A: The application form is easy to complete, with only three to four questions per application and a word limit under each question. Application forms include hints as to the type of information you should include. Please also refer to the ‘tips for entering’ section.

Q: Are there conditions to applying?
A: All shortlisted applicants will need to be available for filming a short video between August and October 2018. All shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend the awards ceremony on Tuesday 13 November 2018 in Glasgow.
Q: Can I send additional materials with my entry?
A: Applications may include a maximum of two pieces of supporting or supplementary information.
Q: How many nominations/applications can I make?
A: Each quality improvement project/ piece of work can be the subject of a maximum of three categories. You are welcome to all for as many categories as you like, as long as you use a number of improvement projects.
Q: What is the closing date for applications/nominations?
A: The closing date for applications will be 5pm, Friday 13 July 2018.
Q: When will you announce the shortlist?
A: Shortlisted nominees will be announced early September 2018.
