What information do we collect?
We collect your name, organisation and email address.
We collect the above information when you register to attend the annual CYPIC Learning Session. It is obligatory for us to collect this information in order for you to attend this event, however, if you would prefer not to receive communications from us after the event, you can opt out.
If you opt out, you will not receive communications on the work of CYPIC, the Learning Session or the Quality Improvement Awards.
We collect personal data directly from you, and never from a third party source.
How do we use information collected?
The Scottish Government and our third party suppliers, Lux Events and Clark Communications would like to continue to send you information about the work of the Children and Young People Improvement Collaborative (CYPIC), its annual Learning Session and the Quality Improvement Awards.
Condition for processing information
The legal basis for our collection and processing of your information is held within schedule 2 or the Data Protection Act 2018 (until 24 May 2018) and Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulations (from 25 May 2018). This basis is that our processing of your information is“for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by the controller or a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests, rights or freedoms of the data subject may not be used as a condition for a public authority”
How do we share information collected?
The Scottish Government and Lux Events will share information between each other only for the purposes explained above. Information is shared securely and neither the Scottish Government or Lux Events will not share your personal information gathered for the use of CYPIC communications, with any other party.
How do we store information collected?
We store information on a password protected file within the Scottish Government’s electronic records management system and only hold information for a period of 12 months, unless you instruct us to remove you from our file. New information is gathered when you register to attend an annual Learning Session. The previous year’s information is held securely in a password protected file within the Scottish Government’s electronic records management system and is not used for any communication or sharing outwith the Scottish Government.
Access to your information
You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. If you would like to access this information please contact us via the information below. We may make a small charge for this service.
