Since 2012, the Scottish Government have supported the improvement of services used by children, young people and families through the Early Years Collaborative (EYC) and, from 2014, the Raising Attainment for All programme (RAFA).
In 2016, we combined these programmes to form the Children and Young People Improvement Collaborative (CYPIC). CYPIC is aligned with the Maternity and Children Quality Improvement Collaborative which focuses on maternity, neonatal and paediatric healthcare.
CYPIC’s purpose is to bring focus, connection and method where it is most needed to improve the wellbeing and life chances of children & young people in Scotland:
- Focus on improving outcomes for evidence-based priorities
- Connect people and share learning to accelerate improvement
- Support systematic use of QI journey to improve outcomes
We aim to hold a national event annually and more information on previous and future events can be found in the Events section.
We also host the national Quality Improvement Awards to recognise individuals, teams, services and schools that have achieved significant levels of improvement through the CYPIC programme. The QI Awards 2021 took place on 1st December 2021 – find out more on the dedicated QI Awards website.
